For most of the 1970s and 1980s, the same hockey set came out twice: Topps for the US and O-Pee-Chee for Canada. The fronts usually match. The O-Pee-Chee has a bilingual back, was printed in smaller numbers, and in many years used card stock and borders that chip, so high grades are harder to find.
That is why, card for card, the O-Pee-Chee version of a big rookie usually sells for more.

PSA 10s almost never come up for sale; price guides put one around $8,000 USD, but we found no recent completed sale to confirm it, so treat that as a guess.
1984-85 O-Pee-Chee Steve Yzerman #67
A key rookie of the 1980s O-Pee-Chee era. We found no recent PSA 10 sale to quote, and graded mid-grade copies are listed for a few hundred dollars or less. Check sold listings before you buy or sell.
Not sure if yours is the Topps or the O-Pee-Chee? Flip it: a French back means O-Pee-Chee.
Questions collectors ask
- How do I tell an O-Pee-Chee card from a Topps card?
- Turn it over. O-Pee-Chee backs are in English and French and say O-Pee-Chee in the copyright line.
